A perfect way to discover the Balinese countryside and village traditions is by bike. Those with an independent sense of adventure can simply rent a bike for a couple of days and plan their own itinerary with the aid of a local map. However, there are several organized day trips with scheduled routes and long stretches of downward pathway requiring little or no vigorous pedal power.
